Hughes was the first player out for the pre-match warm-up and the last to
leave. He also seemed to put quite a bit more effort into his prep - taking
the trouble to make longer runs. Due to the late kick-off, the warm-up was
extended. Maybe that contributed to his early departure from the match? He
also appears to have Rocastle-esque right-footedness but coped reasonably at
LB, although one attempted punt with his left foot veered sharply towards
the directors' box, rather than up the left wing.

Chant omitted from yesterday's report: "we're going to win the league and
now you better believe us."

On the evidence of two league performances, this could be our most
interesting season for years. If this was written for Bernard Briggs or Alf
Tupper, we might end up there or there abouts, despite the 15 points. But my
biggest concern is if all we get this season is survival, then can Leeds
keep their act together for the following season?

It really is a shit or bust season already.
