Gosh, how naive. Fulham, Bolton, Derby, Portsmouth etc etc, for example, would probably double their gate receipts if he was in the squad.
Aside from being a current England international player. So, at least half the prem teams would jump at the chance purely on a financial basis. I also think he is a better right midfield player than most right midfielders in those teams so would be taken on purely for footballing reasons. And if you hadnt noticed, England have never really revolved around Beckham.. they have revolved around Gerrard/Lampard, or Owen or shearer or Rooney. The only reason you think they did was because he used to be quite influential - due to the free kicks but also because the team often built up play down the right.
