Remember the one where the caravan "hot-dog stall" at the top of the
hill that was the away end, ended up on its roof/side...half time 00's
of Leeds in a line pissing against the back wall - it was like they just
threw a wall around a field on a hill and called it the away end...

Subject: [LU] Oldham memories

'Special' train from Oldham not being allowed through
to Oldham by the police so had to get off at a small
village train station - around 500 lads marching
through the back streets of Oldham terrorising the
locals (Dave R - do you remember that day ?).
Mervyn Day's debut.
Wearing my new white Puma G Vilas trainers that were
black bright after the trip - that big open away end
was full of sh*t and mud and it took an age to get
out.
Boxing Day - massive crowd and a great Leeds
performance but still no win (2-2).
Someone pulling the emergency chord on the train and
being threatened by the police that we would have to
walk home.
Play off chaos - Keith Edwards's goal, in the Oldham
end, and lots of fighting everywhere.
Getting stuffed on the artificial pitch in the
promotion season.
Cantona's debut - never seen so many cameras - he came
on for the last 10 minutes and nearly scored. Instant
hero.

Never seen us win there I don't think.
