Cut to old fart mode, but, we had a group of 12 students working a "call-centre" type of affair for us for a couple of weeks this summer. The room was arranged in a horseshoe shape - people sitting around the out side of the room, facing the wall/PC - ie. backs to the middle of the room. At slack times we were fine with them playing on the internet - some were doing sensible stuff, like playing pool or gambling with William Hills - one was even doing his research paper, but 3 females were on facebook - to each other !! - sitting in a room that was only 10 yards x 20...when I asked why they didn't just talk to each other they stared at me like I was of a different generation, or something...
