Sports journos like to make this sort of stuff up: if it happens they look clairvoyant and they can then print "as exclusively revealed in this paper" without the usual guilt. If it doesn't happen, then no-one remembers yesterday's fish wrappers anyway - apart from F365's mediawatch, which also no-one reads.
