Would anyone honestly be gutted if we didn't progress through to the next round, obviously promotion and an FAC final would be great but I think that I am happy to settle for promotion only. Finally, a football posting! Agreed that promotion is really all that counts this season. Nevertheless, I suppose I'd be pretty disappointed if we got beaten by Hereford for the following reasons: - We'd never hear the end of it. One more team (Sunderland, Colchester, etc.) whose greatest claim to fame is that they beat us. - It might shake confidence in the squad, and therefore have a negative impact on our league performances. - A cup run might give Wise an opportunity to give a few folks on the fringes of the first XI a run-out. - I keep hoping that we'll get a few home ties in the various cups that might boost the coffers. Cheers!
