WOAH there Tiger!!!! Right, let's not go overboard here. On Friday we played an UNDERSTRENGTH team and JUST got away with it (Personally, with over a week off and the Bury game in-between I'd have been at full strength for Hereford for a damn good work out). Last night, we played what was tantamount to a RESERVE team. OK Carole and Marques and Prutton started but Prutton is coming back from injury, Marques needs to play alongside Huntingdon for future reference and it was a chance to try Carole and De Costa as wide men. I am disappointed we lost, I always am BUT how else are we going to build and mature a squad? Young players getting valuable workouts whilst either confirming they are ready or proving to Wise they need another year in the stiffs/on loan in League 2? We haven't got a strong squad and I reckon Wise knows this. I am as certain as I can be that he knows a few targets for January (Davis from Tranmere for instance - although he's injured at the mo) targets that will mean the likes of Howson, Da Costa and Huntingdon will have to 'up their game' and prove themselves. Don't forget Marques is likely to be missing for the African Nations Cup as well. I don't think last night was a mistake selection wise, I think Hereford was.
