I always thought that an element of being lucky was that you had to make your own luck by exploiting the inadequacies of others. Put simply, if swindon had been a better team they would not have had to defend the cross in the first place. Swindon scored less goals, end of story.
There is too much moaning in football, if you read match reports or watch manager / player comments on the telly there are very few folk that admit to being beaten by better teams, instead they trot out a series of shit excuses, the geezer selling pies brothers dog coiled its prematch turd anticlockwise instead of clockwise, instead of just saying we got whopped 7-1 and they other team was magic. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Gillen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Alick Stott" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "leeds List" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, November 19, 2007 11:54 AM Subject: Re: [LU] Typical scum fan, swindon skipper > > No, Apparently we are just extremely lucky - that's why we are knocking > on the door of the top of the league having started what most people, > pre season, would have considered to be half a season behind everyone > else.
