Event at Bradford (Park Avenue) FC World Cup heroes to light up Horsfall By Ian Whiting
It will be a very special day at Horsfall Stadium a week tomorrow,with two of England 's 1966 World Cup-winning team in attendance. Hat-trick hero Sir Geoff Hurst and former Leeds United legend Jack Charlton will make a special guest appearance before Avenue take on Bridlington Town in UniBond Division One North. Avenue supporters will be encouraged to buy a photograph which will then be signed by one of the World Cup winners. Both Jackie and Sir Geoff will see local schools kicking footballs through the holes in a giant BPA logo. The young would-be footballers who kick most balls through the hoops in the target will win a share of £1,000 prize-money for their school that the club is putting up for the event. Charlton and Hurst are contracted to be at Horsfall Stadium from 11.45am until half-time.
