I should have mentioned in my posting earlier...

Whilst the game was poor and the result even worse, I have to admit.....

I had a brilliant day! It was great to be back amongst the lads again
and enjoying the atmosphere of a live game. Fish and chips eaten in the
open air from the Elland Road chippy, then a walk around the ground to
take in the sights and sounds before meeting up with the guys who had a
ticket for me; then into the ground and seeing and feeling the
atmosphere for myself. Smelling the Oxtail soup )Bovril?) and the Balti
pies in the air. Hearing the start of the chants as well as the crowd
taking them up, albeit it was a quiet day from the crowd.

The only thing missing was the ecstasy of a goal score by Leeds and the
dancing around trying desperately not to fall over the seats (which no
one appears to use) :-)

I never (ever) leave until the end, but many did, and dire though the
play was, and terrible though the score was, I went home a very
satisfied Leeds fan - shame I couldn't have been even more satisfied and
celebrated a win too!

Steve
