The FL have invited Ken Bates (but not Leeds) membership on the promise of
a floating points deduction/addition guaranteeing an annual place in the
Wembley play offs (avoiding the top two) in the financial interests of the
entire league since the
'Leeds factor' adds more additional spectators (and pounds) in League One
than in the Championship. Bates has agreed that in 2010 Leeds will have
an experimental year in League Two which may prove more profitable still
for all concerned. "A Great Result for Fooball". In return
Leeds will be awarded a run in Europe in 2012. The small print (that
won't be mentioned today) is that should Leeds untypically win a playoff
final, the league will find a reason to penalise them with relegation.
They won't find that hard. Everyone is a winner!

All the best
nif
