I know with hindsight we made the right choice, but given the situation in
August am I alone in thinking we should have accepted the League Two option ?
Surely with our fan base and money we would have walked L2 and therefore be
guarenteed to be in L1 next season (08/09) whereas with the minus 15 the
chances were that we would be relegated and start season 08/09 in L2 ? Also as
we have seen success and promotion brings the crowds back but a relegation
season would have meant crowds declining even further ?
Like I say given that we are bound to be in L1 with possibility of
Championshp next season the decision was proved right but at the time was the
wrong choice ?
How this will apply to Luton \ rotherham who are both already in L2 - who
knows and as for Bournemouth, if they do escape relegation do they start next
season with minus 15 knowing minus 10 nearly did for them or do they accept
starting in L2 ?
The whole thing is a joke
Still on the bright side it is (hopefully) 3 extra games and a trip to
Wembley to look forward to
Dave
