Lads (and any BOTLs lurking in the shadows), Not long since got back from ER, 300 mile round trip via motorbike, nice and sunny it was too. Fractured wrist is holding up well, the doc will have a fit if he finds out, might just set recovery back a week of so.
Got to the TO and around 9:50 to see a queue of 1000's, only kidding, there were around 50 others, all in the same boat had applied for tickets and heard nowt. The ticket office were upto their usual level of unhelpfulness by only opening 3 of the windows. Got to the front of the queue and my phone beeped, new email, from the ticket office no less, confirmation of ticket allocation. Bastards. I got to the window and told that them I had heard nowt and the young lad said that we had just this minute processed the application. The conversation went as follows "Great, can I have them " I asked. "No" said the lad. "Why not" "cos it means that I have to go upstairs and sort through the pile" "Well, if you have only just processed it then it should be near the top then stupid" "well, it's not quite as simple as that" "why not" "Dunno" "You're really starting to piss me off now, if you just give me the tickets, I can take them home and you get to save the club the price of a first class stamp, think how much papa smurf will love you for your ability to use initiative when under pressure" "what?" "you're not going to get my fucking tickets are you" "Er, no, sorry" Everyone I spoke to in the queue was saying how badly organised the whole thing was, and to cap it all I received a text from my brother to say that his ticket had arrived on his doorstep. Git! Anyway, to recap, I have finally received confirmation and will stop moaning about the Ticket Office, just got to wait for the Royal Mail to deliver the tickets!!!! BTW, for those that haven't seen the tickets, they are bigger than the usual Leeds ones and are quite colourful. If anyone is going to get tickets tomorrow, I have heard that some folk are going to be queuing at Dawn so best get there early, the TO reckon that there will be around 10K tickets available, I reckon that most folk will be buying a fistful with the odd person buying only one and so they are likely to sell out fairly quickly. The TO don't as yet know what is going to happen with any Doncaster ones that remain unsold.
