Colindale - jewel of north Lardarnn - used to work at the Central Public
Health Laboratories on Colindale Avenue. The only pub nearby was a truly
vile place called The Chandos, still beggars can't be choosers. Luckily we
were saved by Weatherspoons opening up a Moon Under Water in Colindale, and
later a White Lion of Mortimer in West Hendon.

Fortunately for me I was living in Hendon, just round the corner from two
decent pubs - The Greyhound and The Chequers.

Had to walk past Hendon Police College twice a day!

Cheers

Aagh Colindale, I'd forgotten all about that sh!thole. Lived there for a
year after school in some freezing fecking bedsit. Worked as a doorman at
the Ladbrokes bingo club where I had to wear a big fecking purple bow tie
and spend the evening checking membership cards off old grannies and trying
to stop the gypo kids sneaking in for nowt. Mind you my landlord got sent to
prison for GBH and I never paid any rent for about 6 months until I heard
somebody was coming around to the flat to "collect", packed me bag and
hopped on the Northern line in about 10 mins flat and went back to mummy and
daddy for the summer before going off to college
