Aye, we had a bit of ropey weather, but at least the rain was warm, so what are
you moaning about :-)

Am also partial to Cruzcampo, although it never tastes the same in the UK. Hard
to get Mahou Classica here, but Bierritz in Knaresborough have the standard
Mahou, although at £1.39 a bottle it's a bit dear! Still a big fan of Estrella
Damm, but not the UK 4.6% version - the Barca 5.4%. Bit sneaky dropping the
alcohol content.

After 4.5 years in presently
not-bloody-sunny-when-is-the-summer-ever-going-to-arrive Spain, I would
thoroughly recommend Mahou over the other local cervezas, and in particular the
Mahou Cinco Estrella version - very nice indeed.

Watched the final in the Premier Bar in Altea on day 2 of us 'olidays, in
the company of some Blade who was obviously supporting Donny. Average game
wasn't it - was it just the Mahou Classica effect, or did we really create
no chances?? Beckford - DONKEY!! Believe me, if I wasn't an armchairee he
would be incurring Harte-level wrath from this direction. He's pants. Mahou
Classica was on form though :-) Only note of entertainment was as the landlady
"said see you later", only to be informed by a very grumpy me that
the bar now had official jinx-status and could no longer be frequented until
the gypsies curse had been lifted!!

Petrol crisis - well the Trimoco in Wetherby has run out, so any local players
will have to seek alternative outleys for their 4x4s.

Yerp - dull isn't it, when you don't have to contemplate a 0-0
Ingerland draw with Rumania :-) Did I say dull, I meant brilliant!!

John

Soon be Le Tour time :-)
