What do I do on Wednsdays and some Mondays and Tuesdays and Sat and Sundays and
some weekends etc ??
It is no secret - as Betty says "Uniformed Youth Group " aka cub scout leader
of 15 years standing - and no we don't wear shorts and hats, and no we don't go
"dyb dyb dyb, dob dob dob" any more (though when I am in the pub in my unifrom
you can guarantee someone will say it to me and laugh as if it is a) the
funniest thing ever and b) they are the first person ever to say it !! (must be
a bit like a comediam who has a catch phrase shouted at them all the time).
No - I am not Akela , I am his assistant - cub name Bagheera (the cool black
panther for those of you who have seen the Jungle Book film) - at 3rd \ 1st
Eccles Scout Group.
Wherever possible I organise camps* etc for weekends when it does not clash
with Leeds games but for District \ County events I have no choice and have to
decide between Leeds and cubs - this Sat for instance I am forgoing Millwall
for our District Swimming H2Olympics !!
We meet on a Wed and so it has to be an important game to get me to put Leeds
first. !!
Hope that clears up any questions etc though am quite happy to discuss anything
else on or off list.
