I occasionally get a run of hangs (FireFox taking 50-99% of resources), check for updates clear the cache and it seems OK for a bit I do have a few add-ons installed and if it became problem I'd disable them all and check it methodically. Certainly feel that Firefx is less stable than before. In usability terms I actually prefer IE7 - but don't tell anyone I said that.
