cue Grampa, D's D or someone to tell us when they could get a pint, a bag of chips n scraps, a season ticket and change from a ha'penny.
I'm falling for it !!! ??? I remember in my pre-teens; train Keighley to Leeds old tenpence onwards tram old ha'penny (when the bus came it was old twopence) depending on the mood of the turnstile keeper it was a lift over free or an old sixpenny bung One clear memory I have is the shock when a bag of chips went up from old twopence to fourpence. I still remember the fortnightly thrill of the impact of the green of the pitch. It always seemed luminous. There was no other green like it. Ah well ! Back to hibernation. regards, Michael (D'sD) _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
