I would guess by the fact that there's a pitch inspection planned, Hereford don't have under soil heating?

I have just taken the dog out for his morning run / dump and it is brass monkeys out there. The grass is white and crispy and the sky is as clear as a bell. I have checked the thermometer in the garden and it is currently reading -3. I also have a garden pond that is approx 7 feet in diameter and 3 feet deep and currently has 5 millimetres of ice on it! I can't see it warming up much during the day but it should still be ok for shirt sleeves (long ones if you are a girl) and maybe a bobble hat if you are a baldy.
