Subject: [LU] Milwall

I believe Milwall will go on top win this...here's why....

Although 1 goal to the good, they learnt a lot about us today in that if you
stop Beckford (and Becchio) then you stop us. This they did pretty well
especially well in the 2nd half. In effect their psychological advantage is
worth another goal.

I don't get to ER, but those of you who do, please confirm that we are not a
hoof and hope team....every time I see us on the TV, we pretty much are. Is
it a pre-requisite of an incoming LU manager to answer "yes" to the question
"What do you instruct your team to do when under pressure" during interview
for the manager's job?"

Delph, well, did he do something once that sets him apart from the rest? I
never saw it if he did, all this speculation over brilliant new talent, do
me a favour, he's just a liability giving away free kicks and getting
booked.

Douglas also is woeful, perhaps he's filling an empty space at full back,
but twice today he made awful mistakes that almost allowed Milwall in. One
when he needlessly lost possession.

Simon Grayson has been great. This is his biggest test. How can he change
what happened today on Thursday when Milwall have us sussed. Is the ER
almost 40,000 that much of an incentive? Some of you will know that much
better than me. We've been irresistible at home with what, 11 straight wins?
Is that all hoof and hope stuff?

Shoot me down in flames now please if I get this wrong (it'll be worth it) I
can't see how Milwall will lose this - it's theirs to lose.

So, there we are, not very optimistic I know, it'll be interesting to see
how both teams approach this. I would put money on Milwall to progress.

Oh, let's not forget the ref - he did well considering all the poor
refereeing we've all witnessed recently in CL games. Couldn't say the same
for his assistants, but he did well overall.

Right then, prepared to receive all the disagreeing messages - or perhaps
not??

Final thing, when did we last win on Live TV? The money is good, but not as
good as the winning. Live coverage is not for us.

Didn't Trevor Francis sum up well - very valid observations and comments
from a true pro.

3rd division footy isn't so bad for next season, we win more games than we
lose or draw, so that gives us all happy weekends and lifted spirits. Better
than being in the relegation zone of the Chumpoinship - maybe??

I'll shut up now!

Dave
