Guys, I received this story over a year ago from some pal at emirates airlines, i have many pilot friends with Oman Air and it is true. The story is confirmed but as always in the middle east it takes time to filter through. Whilst the jingoism may be over the top it does not deny the fact that this happened.
Fact is sometimes stranger than fiction, 17 years in ME it is not unbeliveable to me.
