Don't agree with everything there - one thing it definitely isn't is clear! At the end of the day, if the likes of the Inland Revenue can't figure out who owns what and can't ensure that loopholes arn't exploited, I don't really have much faith in the FA/Football League being able to apply the kind of rules they apply and, hand on heart, state they're 100% sure every single club is following those rules. As football and big business become ever more intertwined, then there is probably no chance of over-coming the financial world's attempts to hide what they do. None of the above re;ates to bates of course, because who really knows - not me! Given Beast has allegedly changed his story, I would imagine that this may be an issue for more than the football league/FA, but what do I know. All I would say about him is he's too clever by half, and all along I'd hoped my view that he'll sell as soon as he gets an appropriate bid (i.e. astronomical) would see us avoid the sort of shenanigans we may well now get dragged into.
