The biggest talking point so far is the Leeds fans ruining the minutes
silence for the war dead. I can only think that it was supporters either
coming into the ground or outside that caused the noise ? Hope so anyway.

Hope not! I would be proud of any Leeds fans who made a stand against all
the ridiculous poppy fascism which consumes this country every November.

On the FA broadcast, anyone notice that the crowd noise appeared to get
tampered with in the second half? It changed to a kind of permanent buzz.
I was thinking maybe a Mexican Wave had started up, perhaps a streaker had
appeared, or was it just static on my PC speakers. In the end, I reckoned
they (the FA I presume) had decided they needed to drown out the profanity
previously clearly audible in the Leeds' fans chanting eg "Shoot the Chelsea
Sc*m"; "You Oldham b*stards" in the White Flag song, "You Sh*t B*stard" to
their poor keeper when taking goal kicks.
Censoring our bad language? Not happy with that, if that indeed was what was
going on, but maybe we deserved it for our earlier bad manners during the
minute's bugle thing.

Onto poppy fascism:
I have some sympathy for Rob's comment, although I think he was going for a
"stir it up" moment and succeeded. I often watch the Remembrance Day parade
and will always get a little emotional seeing the survivors from wars past
marching along. I do get uncomfortable with the poppy concept though.
Appreciate the sacrifices they've made - yep I get that. Does it also mean
condoning or supporting the war they fought in. Falklands? Iraq? Sorry, I
don't think I can.
