Capaldi sounds like a decent acquisition then, given that Parker is out, and even when fit there are doubts about him and Hughes is also carrying an injury now, and is viewed, (despite our great defensive record) as an accident waiting to happen. It looks as though we may have agreed to sign him permanently given that Cardiff are letting him play in the Cup - certainly that suggests that they do expect him to play for them again. The signing of Martin gives the impression that Higgs will not be fit to play in the immediate future - although to be fair Casper is playing well at present. To me Ephraim is the strange one - he just sounds like a replica of Gradel who already struggles to get any playing time - although he has generally made an impact when he has come on. As I understand it then, for Sunday (!) Gradel, Vokes and Ephraim are ineligible and Naylor, Johnson, Higgs and Parker are injured. Kandol has finished his suspension, Capaldi can play and both Becchio and Crowe have had a full 90mins of reserve team football this week without any (publicised) re-action. Very hard to second guess Graysons team for this one - lots of rumours that he tried to ship out Enoch, Prutton and Robinson so they may not be in the squad. Given the weather and the fact that it is non League opposition who may be a bit physical will he dare risk Becchio and indeed our talisman Beckford ? One thing is for sure, unlike last year in the Cup against non League team where we all half expected to lose, this time round whatever the team we should have enough to get through. Just for fun (and cos I am bored) I think we should have a bit of guess the starting XI For me it will be Casper, Bromby, Kisnorbo, Lubo, Capaldi Howson , Doyle, Kilkenny, White Kandol, Beckford Anyone else want to guess ?
Hi Dave, Capaldi played his best football whilst at Plymouth. He's a solid all rounder an can play in several postions. He's honest and always gives 100%. I like him, and given a chance, I certainly think he can add to out team, providing he stays injury free. IMHO Best wishes, Verner tHe LiTtLe YeLlOw DaFfOdIl @}-,-'-- --- On Thu, 26/11/09, DAVID NATTAN <[email protected]> wrote: From: DAVID NATTAN <[email protected]> Subject: [LU] more incoming (and some out) To: "list leedslist" <[email protected]> Date: Thursday, 26 November, 2009, 16:05 Verner what is your opinion of him as one of your NI players ? Capaldi can play on Sat at Kettering so it looks as if Cardiff are not bothered about him being cup tied - perhaps idea is to sign him in Jan ?
