Dave your team looks the most likely.

I think he may rest Howson and play Gradel and then bring Howson back for the FA Cup when Gradel is unavailable. The Hudders right back - Peltier is a bag of shite so we need to attack down our left and Snoddy or Gradel will be the men to do this.

I just worry Roberts will give Crowe a very hard time tomorrow. Capaldi should be able to cope with Pilkington though. Those 2 and Novak look the main threats for them.

Subject: [LU] team selection for tomorrow

Grayson (once again ?) faces some tough choices for tomorrows game - a game where a win turns the league realistically into a 3 horse race with us holding a big advantage. I can't see Colchester, Bristol or Walsall pushing us and behind them we already have a 16 point gap and a game in hand. Huddersfield then at present are our only other realistic challengers with Norwich and Charlton. It is important therefore that he gets it right and we keep marching on. He has the 'big three' of Snoddy, Beckford and Kisnorbo available and I am sure that he will make room for all of them - he is also quite likely to bring back Doyle for what is likely to be a physical game, but certainly Kilkenny should not be dropped after his recent performances, so I expect Howson to be moved back out to the right. Who to partner Beckford - Vokes has done Ok as a foil for him without setting the world alight and has been pretty poor in front of goal. Becchio on the other hand has shown (at least last season) that he can do the work for Becks and get his share of goals. plus he has scored both for the reserves and the first team on his return from injury. Who to partner Kisnorbo at the back ? If he picks Lubo does Bromby drop to the bench or go to right back in place of Crowe ? Have either Gradel (who had a big hand - not in a Thierry Henry kind of way - in both goals, plus missing an easy chance himself and setting up Vokes for another great chance on Tuesday) or Ephraim done enough to warrant a starting place. And what about Prutton ?
Is Hughes anywhere near fit ? What about Higgs ?
Hudds have a good scoring record but do leak goal and their away form is not great- they did of course win at ER last season. Whatever it should be a good game for the near sell out crowd and hopefully the early kick off will help us since we are more used to changed kick off times.
I expect us to line up
Casper
Crowe, Bromby, Kisnorbo, Capaldi
Howson, Kilkenny, Doyle, Snoddy
Beckford, Vokes
With a strong bench of
Martin, Lubo, Gradel, Ephraim, Prutton, Becchio, Grella
(with Hughes replacing Prutton if Hughes is fit)
Hopefully whether I am right or way off in my expectation whatever team Grayson puts out will have enough about them to get the 3 points
Dave
