OK, corner count aside ... I always like RW's match reports and agree with
many, if not most, of his observations. My issue is on this occasion his
opening gambit ....

A few things ... "I took no pleasure from the fact that this was an
attractive, open game with lots of chances for BOTH teams." OK, we're
playing League 1's equivalent of Keegans Newcastle (Who did Lee Clark play
under?), the league's top scoring team and local rivals to boot (i.e.
However well they are playing, add 10%) and yet we've drawn 2-2, having
lead twice. NO pleasure? Jesus Richy, why bother if a high octane game
with nigh on 38,000 in the ground having a go at each other ends in a
draw, still leaving us 4 points clear of the nearest team with a game in
hand!

"we will struggle against the better teams in this league" ????
We've beaten Norwich, drawn with Charlton, drawn with Huddersfield, beaten
MK Dons, beaten Colchester, beaten Bristol Rovers and beaten Walsall. So
thats seven of the top 9 played, as yet undefeated against them, infact
just 4 points dropped!

Yes we've had a solid defence and prior to this game we'd gone 6 league
games without conceding and I actually agree on the last bit Richy, it was
poor, certainly by the standards we've set this season. We've got two
problem positions in the team if you ask me, full backs. I've never been a
fan of Crowe and (Correct me if I'm wrong) I have an inkling he played no
part in that 6 match 'run'. Capaldi had a stinker, but there was enough on
show prior to Ssturday to suggest he might actually be half decent at this
level. We need Higgs back and I'm worried he may be a very long term
injury, he helps Kisnorbo organise the defence, Angerken doesn't.
One thing I'm guessing is certain, SG won't have been happy and will
address it.

I'm not saying "Typical Richy, have a go at the drop of a hat" but I do
think you need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture now and
again.

Cheers!
