Any stattoes want to confirm an impression I am gaining that as usual we are the unluckiest team in world football:
1. We hit the woodwork more often than anyone else. Eg twice apparently at Brentford, and 5 times over the course of the 2 games v Kettering. 2. We never get penalties. I know that on the rare occasions that we DO get pens, we usually miss them, but that doesn't alter the fact that statistically teams with large positive goal differences usually get more pens than others, simply by dint of the fact that they get the ball into the box more often and they put defenders under pressure more often. Maybe we keep missing them b/c we get so little practice at taking them in game situations?
