I went as well last night Betty. We were in the Grove beforehand. You should have given us a shout. I too saw the muppet quality stewarding last night. One lad in front of us got threatened with expulsion if he gesticulated again. He'd previously given a two fingered salute to a far off steward when she was asking half the kop to sit down. So of course we spent the second half waving and gesticulating and carrying on (which was more fun than watching the footing I have to say) The stewards were at it in the away end too. You could see them arguing with the Accrington fans from Row O in the kop! And sure enough, when we spoke to one of their fans after the game he told us the stewards had ejected 7 or 8 what he described as 'kids' for persistent standing. What a complete and utter load of bollocks. It's just a masterclass in how to alienate you core customers.
