Hi All After a decade+ of lurking I am back!
If he doesn't move on I think he will continue to try his best - not because of the team but because he would want to get as many offers as he can when a free agent to help negotiate his pay. If he sulks about not getting his way (and the fans are on his back) - then he's not going to be much help in getting us promoted. (Then we will need someone else - Grella is nowhere near the same level of threat) Just because he was working hard against Man U doesnt mean his attitude will be the same away to Exeter next week. Being a sulky twat might not endear him to other clubs but plenty will still take a punt when he's available for nothing in the summer. This is the most likely scenario. I don't think we should overestimate the appeal of our star striker. I reckon $2m is about all anyone's going to offer, and Grayson and Ken will know he's worth more than that in ensuring getting us promoted, even if we lose him in the summer for a bosman. He ain't going anywhere.
