A few reflections on recent events:

Red Drivel 0 LUFC 1

One great thing which only just occurred to me is that they have no opportunity
to redress the balance. It will be at least 2 years, realistically 3 or 4,
before we play them again, and in all that time we have now got something to
say to every wanker we see wearing one of those horrible red shirts! It almost
makes me hope we don't get promoted after all!

Beckford

Can't really blame him for wanting to leave. If he stays with us, he MIGHT get
to play at the top level by the time he is 29ish, giving him maybe 2 or 3
seasons at most. If he goes now, he could be there in 6 months. However, I
really don't want him to go to Newcastle. I really like Beckford, and I want to
continue to follow his career with interest and pride, sincerely hoping he
blossoms into an England striker..................but I detest and despise
Newcastle so much that if he went there all I could hope for would be that he
is an abject failure.

Grayson

Yes, I am worried about Burnley. SG has said all the right things about wanting
to stay at Leeds. Problem is that they are exactly the things that Coyle said
a few weeks ago when he was linked with the Scotland job. Basically, Grayson
seems to be too good to be true..............he SEEMS to be smart, successful,
honest, likeable and even a loyal Leeds fan. My fear is that nobody is that
perfect.

Promotion

Am fluctuating wildly in a Mad Dr. Mike-like fashion between thinking that we
only need 11 wins from 23 games and there is no way those lads who performed so
superbly in such a pressure cooker as last Sunday could ever fail to beat the
likes of High Wycombe Boys Club.............and nasty thoughts about still
having a lot of nasty away games to play and Norwich & Charlton seem to be
refusing to wobble.

Auf wiedersehn,
