at start of 2nd half White swapped to the right wing and after a blistering run
he crossed high to Kandol who instead of heading into the net cushioned it down
to Robbo who chested it down to himself and finished with aplomb/
They got a goal back when a free kick hit the wall but that was cos Prutts
inside the area and part of the wall jumped with his arm up = pen.
Alan Martin saved well but the ball bounced back out to pen taker who hit it
into net.
Good corner from Robbo was well met by Huntingotn at the near post and he
headed home. 5 1
Parker subbed on 65mins - looked good and seemed fit enough,made a couple of
decent challenges. If no after effects he will be in contention soon. Bromby
off at same time. Darville and Somma came on with the impressive White going to
left back
A long punt from Martin was well flicked on by Kandol to Grella who sent the
defender one way and the other but hit his shot at the keeper.
Things kind of fizzled out then until last minute - a run by Gralel and a
lovely back heel by him to the overlapping White who crossed but Somma
miscontrolled and the ball fell to Hatfield (on in place of Kandol) and he
finished it and the game off 6 -1
Pretty easy overall. I watch reserves onTV with an eye on who could do it for
the first team. Well tonight ,White was mom and should get his chance sooner
rather than later to make an impression in the first team. Kandol (a goal and a
big hand in 2 others) and Grella with 2 both did enough to warrant a place on
the bench.
Parker will soon be giving Hughes a real battle.
The 2 'old stagers' Robbo and Prutts both put in the effort with Robbo
especailly effective - he has a lot to do though to get back in the reckoning
but may have impressed any scouts wanting him on loan to free up cash or a
squad place for us.
Lubo and Bromby were both solid and can be relied on if needed.
Gradel improved 2nd half but was very greedy and not much worked for him - his
loan is over soon and I still hope we can keep him.
Given that Scunny are a divison above us it just shows we have a decent big
squad which we will need with the number of games we have coming up - this was
a good but easy work out for them all
