This is clearly crazy talk and I would have calmly slotted my penalty straight down the middle into Gomes' grateful hands whilst he had a nice cuppa. Cracking match though. I haven't had to cope with the week to week drudgery of attending League 1 matches this season, but what this match really drove home was the real potential that this team (and the management of Grayson) has. Kilkenny and Snodgrass played classy fast and accurate slick passing moves for long periods of this match that a top premiership midfield struggled to cope with. After the first 20 minutes we didn't just hang, we played genuine football. At moments like that you have to remind yourself we are a League 1 team. Away. At a leading premiership team. That clearly wanted to win. And these are still 2 comparatively young lads. And Kisnorbo is an astounding free transfer to pick up. We have the nucleus of a team that can develop to challenge for promotion not only in this league but the one above and a manager with the tactical nous and evident admiration from his players that can develop that nucleus into a full team / squad.
