What I don't understand is that if an English sportsman were to come out and
say " I watch cricket and want whoever is playing Pakistan to win" he would be
branded racist and never allowed on the Beeb etc again, and yet the media
actively encourage Scots (and to lesser extent the Welsh) to say time and time
again with regard to sport how they 'hate the English" and that is just banter.
If fans were to sing "we hate Pakistanis" - they would be thrown out and
charged with some sort of racist offence (quite rightly) and yet the Welsh (
and some Scottish) clubs when on TV are heard to sing "we hate the English" etc
and nothing is done - double standards or am I missing something ?
As for Murray - I have no interest in tennis and whether his anti English
remarks were said in jest or for real it does make it impossible for me to
support him in any way, so count me in the ABM (anyone but Murray camp)
The references to Billy Bremner are of no relevance - Billy Bremner captain
(manager) of Leeds = hero
Billy Bremner of Scotland = can f*ck right off !!
(that's why I have no problem hating Rooney of scum but loving Rooney of
England -
talking of which FIFA the robbing b******ds have taken £601 from my account for
my World Cup Final ticket - which I am guaranteed IF England get there - but
will be returned 21 days after England fail to get there - what a money
grabbing con when multiplied by fans from all the countries who are there - but
obviously not Andy Murray cos to quote their own song "they didnae qualify" !!!!
