I agree. We have probably had more TV exposure than some of the premiership
teams this season and this makes it easier for other teams to study form.
Luck plays a huge role throughout the season, I don't think that anyone can
disagree that on occasions earlier in the season we had games that we
managed to sneak a win and used the good luck to our advantage. All that is
happening is that we are averaging this out.
We have only had a SHORT run of poor form in the league but that represents
less than 7% of the entire league calendar, lets put some perspective on
this run.
We still have a better points per game ratio than either Norwich or Charlton
(2.19 against 2.14 and 2 respectively). We have just lost 2 games away from
home and we still have a better record than Norwich (26 pts from 13 games
against 25 and 14).
As for last night, I think that we needed a good kick up the arse to give
the team a reality check. Norwich lost 7-1 on the opening day of the season
and have managed to dust themselves down and get on with it.
Whatever happens will happen, we can't change that. There is no point in
getting overly stressed about it, it doesn't pay the mortgage.
We have the best points ratio in the league so cheer up all you miserable
bastards ;o)

We're in a period of glorious distraction. A bit like when you start
skipping dinner in your haste to shag a new bird.
Nigel.

Disagree.
If a win at Old Trafford and a draw at White Hart Lane is part of a slump
I
can't wait to see us when we really get going.
> There must also now be many more of us who want out of the cup asap.
Not the 30,000+ who have bought or will buy tickets for next Wednesday, I
assume.
Unless there are thousands more fans willing to lash out their
hard-earned
to see our team lose than at any other football team.

We go more than half the league season losing one game, then lose a
couple
and we're talking failure - unbelievable.

Didn't go to Swindon, but would presume we played worse than at Spurs.
That's the vagaries of football - if every game went to form and status,
we'd never be in this league in the first place.
Norwich are on a great run, the sort we were on earlier in the season,
but
that can end very quickly.
We are still in a great position re getting promotion, despite a blip in
form that affects every team in a league season unless you're the Ar$enal
team of 2003-04.

That's a shame, and I'm glad I'm not in that position.
