Hooray! We're out of the FA Cup with some degree of dignity / respect. I
don't think anyone would argue we were pretty much outplayed, outclassed
and outmuscled in most departments tonight.
But....it's all for the best I'm sure. We were never going to win the FA
Cup (and even if we did - who cares if we fail to get promotion) and it
might be true to say that our little cup "run" may have had a detrimental
effect on our recent league results (although that may have happened
anyway without the Cup run....who can tell?) What's important is that the
football world has been reminded that we exist and there is a chance that
we might achieve a little more than survival in the top flight, given our
results / performances against Liverpool, Man U and Spurs. A win last
weekend was very important so may we resume normal service now all this
Cup stuff have ended and look towards life in the Chumpionship.
