Thanks Considering that we had 4 players off the pitch that would have played, we did great. I really like Johnson. Guy is no great player. But he puts everything in to it.He was a better LB than Hughs . I have a feeling that he will develop with us as we go up the two leagues. Hope so. He deserves it. Howson can make it all the way as can Kilkenny. In the back of my mind I was comparing Defoe & Beckford To be honest they are not 'light miles ' apart. In short Beckford can cut it there. And good luck to him. I just wonder. If we go up? If we offer him, a million or two signing on fee & a lot of bonuses & as large a salary as possible. Would he stay? The most problematic part is the offer.--- Would we make it? I was struck by his celebrating with Becchio. That was genuine and very personal. He gives the impression of really caring. With his past, where he came from , having failed abysmally once [as a kid: all was in front of him, dreams and all then out in the cold rainy nights fixing cars, too young for memories and disappointments yet facing them.] And along comes Leeds and back come the dreams. I have a feeling that he would stay if given 'the reason to'. This guy will not gamble on his dreams twice. No one does. as an auto mechanic out on the road he knows---- just fix what you really need to, keep going & anything too dramatic may immobilise you needlessly. Well, having convinced myself I wonder if I could convince anyone else!! Great day to everyone Michael
