By a week tommorrow we should have a good idea whether we are going up
automatically or whether our promotion  dreams are in tatters.
A win tonight will give us a good gap (8 points) from the chasing pack and if
we can follow that up with 2 more home wins than that gap should increase.
Given the number of games left at the end of this period, a gap of, say 9
points, which is the equivalent of us losing 3 games when those behind us win
and matching us the rest of the games, should be enough to ensure we go up.
Larry has some big decisions to make team selection wise but with the addition
of Lowry and McSheffrey we have cover in every position in defence and
midfield. He will be able to assess fitness - both injury wise but more
importantly tiredness both mental and physical and decide his best line up from
what he sees in training etc. I see that in LLL Naylor was saying how mentally
drained he was after the scum game.
Provided Beckford is fit and stays fit then we should have enough to beat
Walsall, Brighton and Oldham at home. Non of them are a foregone conclusion and
Larry will need to ensure that we give 100% in every game and do not go in to
any of them thinking the 3 points will be ours just for turning up, but we all
believe he is the right man for the job and I am sure he will kick whichever
backsides need it.
Looking forward to all 3 and a return to winning ways after the fun of the Cup
runs - now it is strictly down to business.
I see Dickov has come back to us - I must admit all I know about him on the
pitch is that he gives it 100% -and does a lot of hard work (an older but
classier Becchio perhaps?)

Anyway - bring it on

Dave
