Subbuteo brilliant brings back some good memories - knew a lad who had shed in Farnley and played with floodlight version (very posh), had some right arguments as well re cheating /scams. In 1987 four of us walked to Everest base camp 4 weeks trek , Took a tupperware box with pitch rolled up with goal posts and blackburn rovers and boro , on a night we played on kitchen table using head torch , local kids loved it never seen a football pitch , not checked but possibility at time was highest subbuteo matches ever played. good laugh .pissed yanks off who just had a pack of cards to play with. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
