I see Southampton lost last night, having pulled in a capacity crowd and beaten us on Saturday, and it got me wondering .... Post Man Utd in the cup we suffered this awful drop in form, the 'your cup final' mentality meaning the team suffer post big game. Well checking the records of some of our victors ...
Exeter - Comprehensively beat us in front of capacity crowd, then ... LOST to Yeovil LOST to Carlisle DREW at MK Dons DREW with Soton LOST at Millwall ... Infact haven't won since playing us!!!!! Swindon - Absolutely stuffed us in front of capacity crowd, then ... DREW at Southend DREW with Charlton BEAT Oldham DREW with Hudderfield Huddersfield - Biggest crowd of season (as usual) Drew with us, then ... LOST LOST LOST (Scoring 1 conceding 10) Orient - Biggest crowd of season (Suprise) drew with us, then ... LOST, DREW, DREW, LOST, LOST Walsall - Ended our unbeaten home run, then ... WON, LOST, LOST, DREW, LOST So what's the point in all this? Probably none! but maybe just confirming that beating Man Utd, whilst absolutely brilliant, may just have fcuked our season up. Most teams had got over the "This is Leeds, big fancy dans etc" mentality, we were no longer drawing the sell out crowds (But still generally getting biggest crowds) and the mindset of the opposition appears to have had a weakness. The win at Man U and the Spurs games have made us THE target again in League 1 and I am increasingly convinced we are Play off bound, which can only spell disaster IMHO. :-( _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
