Pretty much spot on as usual Rich.
I think we may have to play 4-5-1 away from home from now on and maybe even
at home to Swindon.
We look totally outnumbered in the middle and the fact is that in the last
180 mins we have not had one shot on goal playing with 2 up front.
Last night we were poor. Our only real hope for a goal at the moment is if a
wide man gets to the byline and crosses it. Johnson is never going to do
that and Snodgrass was tightly marked and came inside far too often and we
lost our shape.
I think we've only ever had a Plan A and now that has been sussed by other
teams. There is no point in us trying to do what we did earlier in the
season as that is not working now. Grayson needs to come up with some new
tactics and get players in who aren't scared to get it down and pass.
Team for Norwich
-------Higgs-------
Bromby---Rui---Naylor----Parker
Snoddy---Howson---Doyle---Killa---White
-----Beckford or Grella or Tres
Anyone hoofing the ball gets a fine!
I'd even consider giving Robinson a run out! That is how shite we are at the
moment.

Subject: [LU] Millwall
I'd been looking forward to the game all day but something wasn't right
when I got to the ground. Usually there's an edge to Millwall games but
there was nothing there tonight. The atmosphere was poor and we started
slowly. Once they'd took the lead I thought we were clueless, we had
nothing to offer other then aimless long balls and misplaced passes. More
worrying for me was the manager's body language, it reminded me of
Mcallister in his final days. I can't see us going up, confidence was the
thing that was carrying us along, we were never that much better than
anyone else. Since the turn of the year we've lost the confidence and our
big game players haven't been able to drag our average players along with
them.
I'm not going to go through the game as most would have watched in on Sky.
I'll just go through the team, none of whom played well. The goals were
both very soft and very similar. Hughes and Casper should both be dropped
for Norwich as a direct result.
Casper - 2. Dreadful. He started to panic and just got worse and worse. I
think Higgs is needed to steady the ship.
Hughes - 1. Seriously poor. I've never been a fan but will admit that he's
done a job this season but he isn't the answer.
White - 5. He's no defender but he can run with the ball and once or twice
he caused problems. I'd have played him in midfield because Johnson was
completely ineffective.
Naylor - 4. I think he's a yard short on pace which is causing him
problems and making him anxious. Long balls is all he knows.
Kisnorbo - not on long enough.
Bromby - 5. He's got a bit of pace he can tackle but his positional play
needs to improve. Did ok after a very shaky start.
Johnson - 2. I think we all got duped by a few decent games when the team
was riding on the crest of the wave (e.g. scum game). He was back to his
worse tonight. He's crap.
Doyle - 0. He doesn't do anything, he's not quick enough or good enough to
make an impact. Has to be dropped.
Howson - 5. I was so disappointed with him tonight. He's so obviously got
talent and he made an impact at times but for every good thing there's 2
slack passes. Needs to really tighten up his game. I think he needs to
play with Kilkenny. Doyle doesn't help him.
Snodgrass - 5. Tried hard, but nothing really come off tonight. Carried
the ball to far on occassions.
Becchio - 0. Can someone remind me what Becchio does for a living ?
Nothing he did tonight resembled football. He didn't win a thing in the
air until 47 minutes. In what was the worse 45 minutes I've seen from a
Leeds player he played 3 lay offs in quick succession - 2 straight to a
blue shirt, one straigh out of touch. The worrying thing is that he didn't
miscontrol the passes he guided them to where he wanted them. Completely
clueless. Beckford makes him look average. Without him, he looks exactly
what he is - a wank stain. Fucking rubbish.
Dickov - 5. Dickov and Becchio up front. Surely Grayson must realise now
that we can't win football matches with that attack. To be fair to Dickov
I thought he worked harder than everyone and did play some decent stuff
without really threatening. Next to Becchio though he looked like Messi.
Subs
Gradel, Kilkenny - not effective.
Without our 2 best players (Beckford and Kisnorbo) and with our current
confidence levels we won't go up. Grayson needs to inject new blood and
new confidence in the team. That means dropping Doyle and Becchio and
playing Kilkenny and Howson and playing Kandol (if fit) alongside Beckford
up front.

I got the sense that SG was getting very frustrated that he was not able
to
change things effectively.
Bottom line, we were poor, they were good (not brilliant). They deserved
to
win.
With our current run of form I think the play offs is more than likely,
and
unless we can somehow find some form, we will get knocked out in the
semis,
and we have yet another season of the 3rd division.
Pissed off.

What a shambles. Worse than the result - against another side on hot
form,
after all - was toothlessness without Beckford (how long is he out for?),
cluelessness at the back (more so without Kisnorbo - how long is he out

end
on Saturday? Against the runaway leaders?
My run-in predictor now has LUFC, Swindon and Millwall all ending the
season
on 88 points. But my Leeds forecasts are starting to look pretty
optimistic.
Ugh. And despite some purple patches, I'm starting to think the players
brought in to "add a touch of class" have simply destabilised us.
McSheffrey
and Dickov... I'm looking at you. We have to trust Grayson to sort things
and use tonight's result as a wake-up call ahead of an unlikely
bounce-back
on Saturday.
Best,
Richard
