Looks like the thought police have been in there. However there are several caveats at the head of the article.

The only person who really knows the truth about Bates is Bates himself. And he'll more than likely take that to the grave with him.
If you have any misgivings about Bates just imagine waking up next to him in bed and compare that to how you would feel waking up next to a dead skunk.
