What this election has hammered home for me Graham is that we need political reform (and I'm not a Lib dem).
Conservatives received 36% of the vote and get 47% of the seats. Labour 29% of the vote for 40% of the seats Liberal Dems 23% of the vote for 9% of the seats I don't know about you, but I can't hand on my heart agree 100% with any of the parties. I guess any of us would have to form our own party to do that. What I think we are on the cusp of is a paradigm shift for how our country is run. I think any one of the parties having absolute power gives you the results we have seen for the past 30 years. I'm delighted to think that nearly 60% of those who bothered to vote will now have some kind of representation. The next few days will be very interesting (on the political side as well as at ER!) cheers, Andy C On 7 May 2010 15:53, Graham Thirkill <[email protected]>wrote: > > It seems a bit odd to me to have a system where the third over the line > chooses > the next Prime Minister.
