At half time I turned EVERYTHING off and forced myself to have a "sleep" and actually managed to do so for the 40mins up to 5.10pm UK time i.e. I managed to not be aware of all that happened in the the 2nd half - I knew the stress would have been desperate.
I then put the phone on normal, ignored the 7 SMSs waiting for me and turned on the LiveScore thingy and scrolled down to League 1..... YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! My 2.5 year old almost started to cry with the commotion until I lifted him up and danced around the house roaring, shouting and insane laughing!! Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...............WHAT a difference that result makes! In the C'ship we are the biggest club easily and although we've got b2gger all money neither do any of the three relegated from the Prem, nor in fact any of them except Boro. Ignoring the small matter of wages LUFC will offer, we immediately jump to the top of the list for out of contract players, loaned out pups from the Prem, etc etc. I was an early-ish lister from the mid 90s, then left to return only upon our drop to League 1. In these last three years - and not having been to a game since 2003/2004, I'd like to say MANY THANKS in particular to Richard Walker and David Nattan for their weekly reports, INVALUABLE and keep it going! Sigghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......... BMW PS Special prize to Dr Mike for his sheer bananas emails. PPS I agree with Richard W on Becchio. ;-> > -----Mensaje original----- > De: [email protected] [mailto:leedslist- > [email protected]] En nombre de Brendan Osborne > Enviado el: lunes, 10 de mayo de 2010 11:33 > Para: [email protected] > Asunto: [LU] Last Satuday...... > > > ....couldn't stick the tension of being indoors, so drove to a nearby beach listening > to 5live coverage.
