Most list opinion was that we would need in excess of 90 to 96 points to be safe and promoted After Christmas we had the day of our lives (so far - as I haven't ruled out us getting back into the premiership and stuffing them at least twice a season) and a big win at OT - then for some inexplicable reason the wheels came off - post win stress? - doesn't seem likely as we carried the bad results on to the end of the season almost. These past few weeks have been very hard on the nerves - I am grateful however, to Thirkers, as I can well recall his wise words of patience telling us all to relax and that 86 points would be enough - I didn't find it in me to believe him at the time, but he was right wasn't he? Well, we've done it - we can relax and watch the playoff results in an uncaring fashion. Or can we? Do we really not care? Or would we love to see one of them fail? I would like to see Millwall fail, and would like to see Huddersfield win, not that I like either of them much, but it was down to Huddersfield's win at home against the south London pikeys that put the ball back in our court and left it to our own destiny - for that alone I am giving them some (none verbal and non financial) support. And so to a summer of the World Cup - happy in the knowledge that this time our players won't be tapped up by other premiership players - mostly because our lot won't be there! :-) and that after which we can see the new fixture list and plan how we are to get promotion this time around Ah....
