Wigan? It's Hull that was relegated not Wigan

I don't think I have ever enjoyed 2 goals as much. Ever. Not 1992, Not 1972. Not Stuttgart not anything. Not even Robbie Keane against the bloody Germans years ago. I must confess I did shed a tear at the end - especially when the commentator said: " after 3 years in the third division, two separate points deductions, 3 managers and 2 sets of play-off defeats Leeds United are back in the Championship" Add on to that the 10 men and the 1-0 down and it was truly a battle and a test of character. Pity I was on my own in an empty pub - Sean and Alan - where the F%%% were you? Adrian Dingle, I do give you credit for being the prophet-not-recognized-in-his-own-country for your cries of Doomsday after the Man United victory, but I want a lot more than 50 points from next season. 3 things: 1. Look at Forest - they went up the year we lost to Doncaster and they are in the premiership play-offs this year. 2. You have to assume that Burnley, Wigan, Portsmouth and the team that loses the play-off final are the teams to beat - the 4 real contenders. 3. So here's my handy-dandy model for predicting how long we will be in the Championship: Take those 4 contenders - Burnley, Wigan, Portsmouth and, one of Forest / Cardiff / Leicester / Blackpool. That's 8 matches for us - the results of those 8 matches will predict how long we are in the Championship # of wins.................................# of years in the Championship 6 - 8 one year ( i.e. we go up in one year's time) 4 - 5 two years 3 three years 2 or less four or more. You heard it here first. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
