Leeds United have announced season-ticket prices for new applicants after almost 10,000 existing season-ticket holders renewed by the deadline.

Top price for an adult seat at United compete in the Championship is £670 in the West Stand and East Stand Lower. Other prices are: Family Stand – adults £480, senior citizens, students and disabled £368, juniors £207; North Stand – adults £540, senior citizens and disabled £368, juniors £278; West Stand – disabled £525.

Meanwhile, Lubo Michalik, United’s Slovak defender, has been called up for a pre World Cup training camp by his country.

Michalik, 26, hasn’t played for Leeds’ first team since March 6, when he made a substitute appearance against Brentford, but he still hopes to gain inclusion in the Slovaks’ World Cup squad.

The camp will be used as part of the selection process for the finals in South Africa.

Michalik hasn’t started a game for Leeds since the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Northern Area final, second leg, at Carlisle on February 9.

Patrick Kisnorbo and Richard Naylor have been ahead of him in the Elland Road pecking order, and during that pair’s absence through injury at various stages, Leigh Bromby and Neill Collins have also kept the former Bolton defender out in the cold.

Meanwhile, former Leeds and England defender Danny Mills is backing the club to make a strong challenge in the Championship next season, with a few additions to the squad.

Mills said: “I like Neil Kilkenny and Jonny Howson in midfield and Luciano Becchio will be absolutely fine up front in the Championship.

"With Jermaine Beckford likely to move on, they probably need another top goal-scorer, which is easier said than done, and another striker as cover.

“As well as a bit of tinkering, they just need to bring in a bit more experience and quality to the squad.”
