You're getting Crozier mixed up with Allan Leighton. Leighton was the kingmaker for both Ridsdale at Leeds and Crozier at the Royal Mail. Crozier was FA chairman during the Risible years, and (like Triesman) was seen as something of a moderniser at the FA, swimming against the tide.
