For reasons too arcane to mention, I just looked up BeBop Deluxe on Wikipedia and discovered they were from Wakefield :O
There are lines from their songs that constantly run through my head 35 years after (I laugh....!) I always thought they were American - for me the only thing that ever came from Wakefield was Crystal Springs.......
