Something in that article just doesn't ring true.
The key facts in the story are £10M and 35kg of Coke, this makes it an eye
watering £285,000 a kilo. This just isn't right. The price for a kilo of
coke in 2009 was around £35K to £39K for the average quality stuff and this
rose to approx £45K for high quality stuff.
The only explanations are that the report is wrong OR the coke was pure
stuff and when bulked out with talc, detergent, cement, etc had a potential
street resale value of 10 mill. If the latter is the case then it is just
sloppy journalism to miss it out.
