Argentina cannot win as Marradona is a clown. Yesterday was crying out to
change tactics and get speedy wing play. Argentina were stopped by their own
contribution. Messi just would insist on going into mid field and getting
  blocked by 4-5 players.

  Wrong, wrong wrong.

Maradona has made some questionable selections in the past, but he has got his
hugely talented squad motivated and well organised. Yesterday they played an
excellent match in the circumstances, where they didn't have to win. They gave
the fringe players a runout, and gave Messi an opportunity to practice against
what he will face every match, ie a man-marker.

For me, it is between Brazil & Argentina to win this thing. The key questions
are a) whether Brazil's two brilliant defensive midfielders can nullify
Argentina's brilliant strikeforce, and b) whether Argentina#s dodgy defence can
handle Robinho and the rejuvenated Fabiano.

As for England, today's game will be very interesting. During the Algeria game,
you could see in closeups that the top players were just mystified.........they
had no idea what was going wrong or why. Personally, I think that even top
players can and do suffer from that awful vicious circle of loss of confidence
and shaky performance, and I think it all started when fuckwit Green gave away
that goal. Another possible factor though (conspiracy theorists tune
in)...........has anyone else noticed the trend of massive underperformance
from all the players from our friends across the Pennines?
Evra............Rooney..........Park & Vidic are different b/c they are both
such heroes for their paltry little countries that they couldn't get away with
not giving 100%, but let's just say that Ferguson will be rubbing his hands at
the idea of Evra off on his hols already, maybe Rooney following him today,
while so many Chelsea & Arsenal players are still there.
